Quel est l’adjectif qui décrit le plus votre année 2020 ?
Vous avez, sûrement, comme moi, entendu toutes ces espérances d’un monde d’après.
On peut espérer, une prise de conscience mondiale de l’importance de prendre soin de la vie. Prendre soin de notre santé et de la santé de la planète qui nous abrite.
Il y a eu aussi les soulèvements contre les injustices raciales aux USA et dans plusieurs pays du monde. Ils laissent entrevoir une lueur d’espoir sur une conscience du racisme systémique. Mais aussi du privilège blanc et de la grande urgence d’agir pour un système juste et inclusif.
A ce stade, il me semble intéressant de nous pencher sur les leçons de vie apprises de cette expérience qu’a été 2020.
Une année, qui était plus ou moins facile à gérer voire paradoxale.
En effet, on a vu beaucoup de gens réinvestir leur cuisine ou se mettre au jardinage, d’autres en ont profité pour entrer dans une phase d’observation et d’introspection.
J’ai pu, à titre personnel, en tirer 5 leçons de vie essentielles que je vais partager avec vous.
Leçon essentielle #1 : Le self-care doit être radical
Plus qu’une notion tendance, le self-care est une philosophie de vie où l’on va pouvoir prendre soin de soi au quotidien.
J’ai partagé, dans cet article, les erreurs à éviter pour prendre soin de soi.
L’éducation des femmes les mène souventt à intérioriser des schémas du « care » dans l’oubli de soi.
Cela va sans dire que les femmes apprennent à prendre soin des autres : les enfants, les conjoints, les parents âgés sans interroger leur propre bien-être.
Prendre soin de soi en priorité et pratiquer la bienveillance envers soi-même sont essentiels pour pouvoir s’occuper des autres.
Mon mantra : on ne peut pas se servir un verre d’eau dans une carafe vide !
Leçon essentielle #2 : le corps est important
Certaines personnes parlent de prise ou perte de poids pendant le confinement, d’autres reportent des douleurs musculaires souvent entraînées par la sédentarité ou les mauvaises postures (notamment si on passe la journée devant un ordinateur).
Le corps, est le siège de nos émotions et les exprime de façon parfois brutale. Vous avez peut-être senti une fatigue anormale voire de l’épuisement, des douleurs inhabituelles ou une perturbation du sommeil, toutes ces manifestions sont habituelles quand on traverse des périodes d’incertitude et de changement de nos modes de vie.
L’équilibre émotionnel est avant tout une affaire liée au corps : les aliments que nous ingérons, la qualité du sommeil et la fréquence de l’activité physique déterminent cette balance émotionnelle.
Au début du confinement, j’ai interrompu ma pratique de yoga et Pilates et me suis contentée de quelques minutes chaque matin (le yoga fait partie de ma routine matinale). Les effets ressentis ont été immédiats : sommeil perturbé, fatigue, irritabilité. Ces habitudes saines reprises, tout est rentré dans l’ordre.
Leçon essentielle #3 : Choisir ses combats
Durant une bonne partie de cette année 2020, il ne nous était pas toujours possible d’avoir de l’aide pour déléguer certaines tâches.
Penser pouvoir tout faire et parfaitement relève du mythe de la femme super-héroïne.
Cette phase m’a fait réaliser l’importance de choisir mes combats pour répartir mon temps et mon énergie.
Est-ce que je souhaite une maison impeccablement en ordre ou des enfants en état émotionnel sain ?
Ou est-ce qu’il est plus important de dégager une heure pour aider une cliente ou passer une heure à créer du contenu sur Instagram ?
Leçon essentielle #4 : Les habitudes sont essentielles
Si vous me lisez depuis un moment, vous connaissez déjà l’importance que j’accorde aux habitudes. Comme je le mentionnais dans cet article, les habitudes sont mon principal outil de gain de temps et de réalisation de mes objectifs. Ce sont, aussi, les habitudes qui donnent un sentiment de contrôle sur le quotidien. En période d’incertitude mais aussi en temps « normal », une micro-habitude peut avoir un impact important.
Leçon essentielle #5 : Notre juste valeur est liée au simple fait d’être
Il y a, d’abord, cette fausse croyance que nos résultats personnels ou professionnels définissent notre valeur intrinsèque.
Il n’en est rien !
Le simple fait d’exister détermine notre valeur. Cela nécessite, évidemment, de faire taire notre ego, cette croyance nuisible de notre propre importance. Cette voix qui nous murmure que nous devons être « mieux que », « plus important.e que », « reconnu.e », qui est différente de la confiance en soi et qui nous fait douter et nous comparer aux autres.
Faire taire cette voix et simplement exister, en suivant notre propre chemin, quelle libération !
Voici les cinq leçons de vie essentielles que j’ai pu, personnellement, tirer de cette année 2020 avec ses challenges et incertitudes.
