D’aussi loin que je me souvienne, j’ai choisi le télé-travail pour pouvoir booster ma concentration, avancer plus efficacement et surtout économiser le temps de déplacement. Ensuite, quand j’ai créé mon activité, j’ai travaillé depuis la maison pendant une longue période en gardant mon enfant qui avait 2 ans à l’époque. C’est pendant ce temps-là que j’ai appris à éviter les pièges du placard à sucreries à proximité, à répondre aux sollicitations incessantes d’un enfant en bas âge et surtout à garder le focus sur deux ou trois objectifs précis pour avancer. Et laissez moi vous le dire : quand on est perfectionniste, l’exercice est plutôt difficile et la frustration nous guette à tout moment de la journée.
Durant ces temps d’incertitudes que nous traversons, le télé-travail avec des habitudes différentes, les deux principaux pièges dans lesquels nous pouvons facilement tomber sont la procrastination ou l’excès de travail.
Lorsque l’on se retrouve seul.e, face à son ordinateur, avec des objectifs non précis ou une cadence de tâches plus ou moins importante, on peut très vite avoir la tentation de scroller ses réseaux sociaux ou de se refaire un n-ième café. Une autre possibilité, est de ne pas se mettre de limites et les frontières entre vie personnelle, professionnelle, temps de pause deviennent tellement poreuses que vous clôturez parfois votre journée de travail à 23h en accompagnant les questions restantes au lit avec vous. Dans les deux cas, on devient sujet à la fatigue et à la frustration . Je vous propose d’explorer cinq pistes concrètes pour éviter l’épuisement à long terme.
Avoir un espace de travail dédié
C’est important d’aménager un espace de travail, dans un endroit de la maison que l’on peut fermer pour marquer cette frontière physique entre le lieu de travail et le lieu de vie. Ce n’est pas toujours possible de le faire, quand on habite en appartement type studio ou quand on est en colocation ou dans la maison familiale. J’ai proposé, en début du confinement une « astuce » pour limiter symboliquement les espaces. Tout est dans cette vidéo.
Fixer des horaires de télé-travail précis
Quand on fixe ses horaires de travail en créant des habitudes autour, on rentre plus facilement dans la routine du télé-travail. Ainsi, on limite les risques que le professionnel empiéte sur le personnel et inversement. De surcroît, quand on a des enfants, on peut leur expliquer cette routine autour du travail. De cette manière, votre rythme de travail peut facilement être inclus dans la routine quotidienne ou hebdomadaire des enfants.
Faire des pauses régulièrement
Les pauses sont nécessaires : pour s’aérer, s’hydrater, respirer, relâcher les tensions. Faire des pauses de 5 minutes toutes les heures sera bénéfique pour votre concentration. Les vraies pauses pour déjeuner sont recommandées pour insaller une vraie coupure dans la journée. Elles sont ainsi garantes d’un redémarrage en forme pour l’après-midi.
Fixer vos limites autour du télé-travail
Le télé-travail ne doit pas devenir l’occasion d’organiser des réunions virtuelles à 7h du matin ou finir à 22h. Fixer des horaires « raisonnables » pendant lesquels vous travaillez vous permettra de garder une hygiène de vie saine. Je recommande également d’avoir des rituels en début et fin de journée de travail pour marquer les transitions et maintenir un certain équilibre.
Garder le contact avec les collègues
Distanciation sociale ne veut pas dire coupure du lien social. Durant ces temps incertains, le télé-travail peut devenir une source d’isolement pour de nombreuses personnes. Maintenant, plus que jamais, le rôle des managers et leaders est de rester à l’écoute et cultiver le lien avec leurs équipes. Utiliser la technologie pour communiquer c’est bien. Cependant, il est préférable de s’appeler, de réinventer les pauses café et les moments de lien social pour s’entraider et se sentir mieux.
